Interventional Medicine Department of China-Japan Friendship Hospital hosted a delegation of eight experts, led by Dr. Wei-Che Lin and his team from Taiwan on March 14th and 15th, 2024.

As one of the pioneers in thermal ablation techniques, Prof. Ming-an Yu and his team of doctors demonstrated a total of 14 microwave ablation procedures to the visiting Taiwanese experts, covering thyroid benign and malignant tumors, hyperparathyroidism, adrenal gland tumors, liver tumors, breast nodules, and uterine fibroids. During the procedure, Prof. Yu elucidated his groundbreaking achievements in the use of microwave ablation for thyroid cancer.

Internationally renowned expert Prof. Wei-Che Lin commented that this exchange and learning opportunity provided a deeper understanding of minimally invasive tumor interventional treatment. He also shared his expertise and innovations in tumor interventional therapy from Taiwan.
