Director Shi Wenyuan's team recently published an academic report in European Radiology (Q1, IF=5.9,) "Safety and efficacy of microwave ablation for symptomatic benign thyroid nodules in children”.
 
In this report, the reduction rate of thyroid nodules by microwave ablation treatment reached 85.03%, while the technical effectiveness is shown to be 91.2%, and thyroid function is unaffected by microwave ablation treatment.
 
The result shows that microwave ablation is an effective method for the treatment of thyroid nodules in children, which is minimally invasive, safe and effective. Also, the report offers strong clinical support for the use of microwave ablation in thyroid treatment.
